Last day of Tokyo

Last day of Tokyo we joines up with wonderful Kanke, Yusuko and Mari and had dinner, and then went to see the Prada house by night, just to end up att Office having a beer there! Thanks for making it a memorable last night!

Untill next time, time will tell where! Kampai!Construtionworkers on the inside of the Prada house.

Watch your Paws

Enoshima

One of the last days we went to Enoshima beach and Kanakura (one of the old capitals). We went there by an omnitrain that looked like this.

Ebisu

I went to see a bit of Ebisu, a part od town in the west of Tokyo. Found this nice house that is 1. pretty and 2. so typically Tokyo, its slim, small and stands out, and the closer you look the more nice detail you find. Then as usual everything is pretty in Tokyo even this pretty "varumotaggning" (read: where stores get their loads of stuff). The area had quite a few nice restaurants, this one was pretty with the menue. Have a look at how they used the lights as a part of the exterior. And this is how a flower shop should look like!

How to shop!

Some things in Japan you buy ower the counter, and some not. Example, when you travel by the Metro, you first buy your cupon in a vending machine out side, then you pass the metro gates through putting your ticket in on one side, and getting it back on the other side. Then you need the ticket on the station to get out. Clever. No need to argue. And so its at some food places, and even hotels. Theres a light for what is avaliable. Look close.
Paying for a hotelroom. (sorry the pict, is reaaallly bad)
A food place, with a cupon machine. just hand in the cupon, and Voila, you get your food. Its not gourmet, but its fast.

More stuff request

Elina requested pictures of more stuff. So here we go! It´s
seen as curtesy to have an outdoor ashtray with you at all times. My friend Gustav told me that people will give you the evil eye if you "just smoke on the street" and thro the rests on the ground. My bad, i dont smoke, but this ashtray was very pretty. Opened and closed.

So much to see, so little Time

Today i discovered that theres to much to see, to many places yet to go. I wanted to visit my friend Juni from New York/Tokyo brother Ryo in Osaka. But theres no time left. Awww… But im thinking that next time will be better, then there will be more time. One should not stress, its not good for you.

Went to the Doc again the other day, he said that i cant hear on my left ear because i have an nose inflammation now. i didn't know that one could have that, nut nicely enough he stashed me up with some nice stuff to make it go away. I dont think i have ever had so much medication in barley two weeks. And another thing i didn't know was how far you can put stuff up your nose, while Doc was examinating me he put lots of stuff up my nose. It sounds terrible to you i bet, Felix was terrified as i was telling him about it, but it was more like a funny feeling, i was giggling the whole time. It tickled, well Yupp, it did. The Ryoka owner came along to the Doc so he would know where it is, just in case he would have any other guests who need Doc. We talked about starting hotels and the philosopher Khalil Gibran.

Then Felix and i went to Enoshima, the beach, it was nice, big waves and a nice temple island. And we saw mount Fuji in the back ground. Tried taking a photo, but it was to bright, it didn't stick. Some things you just have to remember with your photographic mind, yes yes.

The prettiest show was on the way home, when we took the train to Kamakura station from the beach. For about two stations there were only surfers in the sea. I want to come back there, rent a room and just surf for two weeks next summer.

Karaoke-hits

After the yarn bar we went for a stroll and ended up being picked up by a group of japaneese karaoke loving group of film makers that were brave enought to have us at their company kaoraoke party. Well thats good otherwise the would have gotten lost in the karaoke labyrynth on the second floor. Yes we sang our voices out untill I lost mine. Kayo and Mitu + co, you are brave people and heaps of fun!

Taxi taxi, whatever city you are in you have to try the taxi. We had a orange one and i really wish i would have stayed awake, but i kept nodding away. It was dark when i stepped in to the cab, and it was morning when we arrived back home at Tawamarachi, Asakusa.

The Missunderstanding of the Fifth Floor

Friday night we had dinner at a local pub, that makes really good food, and serves it on the prettiest plates, watched baseball and drank som beer before goig to a bar a friend recomended that was in Harajuku. It was suppoused o be placed on the fifth floor in a house next to a famous coffe house, and it was suppoused to have yarn in the seling. We didnt find the fifth floor, but we found a bar called, from what we can make out of it, "the missunderstanding of the fifth floor". Excellent drinks and charms(snacks/tilltugg) superfriendly staff and nice drinks! Don´t we just love secret littel bars that we have to find by desription! (thanks Martin) And some places will never be done justice if you take pictures of them, they just have to be seen live.

Home in Tokyo // Tokyo Ryoka

So now we´re back at the place we stayed at the first night in Tokyo! The nicest ryoka house in tokyo with the friendliest owner that speaks english. The place has only three rooms, and is placed in the nice and quiet backstreets of Asakusa, next to one of the old temples. Nice nice!

Later that day we went out to a DIY yourself store in the suberbs, and i found some great stuff:
1. Working man socks (unfortunately not the boots).
2. Pink Gaffa // Whats a girl without her gaffa? it should be in the survival kit of every girls purse, okay, a mini version anyway.
3. More pens, theese ones are more like ink patrons that happen to have a filt patch to draw with. Nice!
